COMMON GYNAECOLOGICAL PROCEDURES

• Hysteroscopy : For assessment of heavy periods, abnormal vaginal bleeding, postmenopausal bleeding, fibroids, polyps or fertility issues.

• Mirena IUCD : It is a long acting, reversible hormone releasing contraceptive device used for contraceptive and non- contraceptive benefits

• LLETZ “Large Loop Excision of the Transformation Zone”: Used for Treatment  of abnormal pap smears.

• Cystoscopy : For assessment of the bladder and urethra, and may be done as a part of investigating pelvic pain, recurrent urinary tract infections, or other urinary symptoms.

• Total Abdominal Hysterectomy : Removal  the cervix and uterus through the abdomen.

• Vaginal Hysterectomy : Removal of the cervix and uterus through the vagina.

• Laparoscopic Surgery: Keyhole surgery for visualization of the internal organs in the assessment and treatment  various Gynaecological problems.

• Vaginal Pelvic Floor Repair :Procedure to repair prolapse of the vagina and/or uterus using the vaginal route.
